MITALI SHAH

BIOGRAPHY

Mitali Shah is a Baroda-based artist with a BVA (2009) and MVA (2011) in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She has participated in several group shows, among them, ‘VadFest 2015’, Baroda, ‘Residual Remnants’, curated by Rekha Rodwittiya at Site Art Space, Baroda, 2014, ‘Fluid Frames’, a two-person show at Chennai Lalit Kala Akademi organized by InKo (Indo-Korean Centre), 2014, ‘Spring Exhibition’, curated by Laura Williams at Gallery Art 18/21, Norwich, UK, 2012 and ‘Sarai Reader 09 - the Exhibition’ curated by Raqs Media Collective in association with Sarai Media Labs at Devi Art Foundation, Delhi, 2012. Her works have been presented at Busan International Art Fair in BEXCO, Korea, 2013, United Art Fair, Delhi, 2012 and 2013, India Art Fair, Delhi, 2012 and 2013. She received the Inlaks Fine Arts Award in 2011 as well as a scholarship from Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi in 2010 and in 2008, she was awarded the Nasreen Mohamedi Scholarship by the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University.
